Fixed Air Conditioning Systems
DIY Air Conditioning
Fixed or permanent systems – work on the same principal as mobile air conditioning units, the main difference is that they are mounted onto a hard surface like a wall. They work by removing the warn air from a room and recycle it back into a room as cooler air. This cycle continues until your thermostat reaches the desired temperature. There are three main types of fixed air conditioning systems, wall mounted DIY, window units and wall splits systems.
Wall mounted DIY air conditioning systems.
These have all the advantages of having only an indoor unit with twin duct for maximum cooling performance. The ducting will need to be vented through a window or wall.
Window air conditioning units.
They sit in a window where they can exhaust warm air to the outside. Room air conditioners can also be built into the wall for a more permanent installation.
Wall mounted split air conditioning systems.
They have an evaporating unit internally and a condensing unit located externally with the units linked by a connective pipe.
